Download Arqenne

Install

1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
2. Drag the Arqenne icon to your Applications folder.
3. Open Arqenne from Launchpad or Applications. macOS will ask once to confirm an app downloaded from the internet — click Open.

Arqenne checks for updates on launch and offers them with an Install and restart button.

Recommended: add Arqenne’s repository once, then install and update through apt.

1. 1. Add Arqenne's signing key

   Copy

   curl -fsSL https://releases.arqenne.com/apt/arqenne-archive-keyring.gpg | sudo tee /usr/share/keyrings/arqenne-archive-keyring.gpg >/dev/null

2. 2. Add the repository

   Copy

   sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/arqenne.sources >/dev/null <<'EOF'
   Types: deb
   URIs: https://releases.arqenne.com/apt
   Suites: stable
   Components: main
   Architectures: amd64
   Signed-By: /usr/share/keyrings/arqenne-archive-keyring.gpg
   EOF

3. 3. Refresh the package list

   Copy

   sudo apt update

4. 4. Install Arqenne

   Copy

   sudo apt install arqenne

For the NVIDIA edition, first install the NVIDIA driver and add NVIDIA’s CUDA repository (the Linux guide shows how), then install arqenne-cuda instead of arqenne.

Or install the file you downloaded. Run the command in the folder you saved it to, and use the file’s actual name if it differs:

1. Standard

   Copy

   sudo apt install ./Arqenne.deb

2. NVIDIA

   Copy

   sudo apt install ./Arqenne-cuda.deb

Repository installs update with sudo apt upgrade or Software Updater. A hand-installed .deb updates from inside the app with “Install and restart”.
